North Carolina Awards Opioid Treatment Funds To 20 Sites
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services awarded funding from the multi-state opioid settlement with McKinsey & Company; the funds will be used to expand access to addiction treatment for people with opioid use disorder. The funding, $16 million, was awarded to 20 provider organizations structured as health care centers, treatment clinics and community-based provider organizations. They will use the funding to expand evidence-based treatment services, as well as employment, housing and transportation supports through innovative pilot programs to better help treat individuals and support them in their recovery.
