North Carolina DHHS Partners With The UNC School Of Social Work To Bring Suicide Prevention Trainings To Universities, Community Colleges

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) is partnering with the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Social Work to expand access to suicide prevention training at University of North Carolina System universities and community colleges during the 2026-27 academic year. The project, titled “Building Capacity and Expanding Access to Suicide Prevention Training for North Carolina Colleges and Universities,” will be led by the UNC Mental Health First Aid campus-based program and the school’s L. Richardson Preyer Distinguished Chair for Strengthening Families.

The project will provide at least 50 Mental Health First Aid . . .
