Northwestern, Centegra Complete 10-Hospital Merger

Chicago, Illinois-based Northwestern Memorial HealthCare (NMH) and Centegra Health System (Centegra) recently closed a merger deal. The move, officially completed as of September 1, closed a deal which has been in the works since 2016, when the two health systems began negotiations with each other.

The two organizations anticipate that the merger will allow them to provide consumers in McHenry and Kane counties with more convenient access to clinical trials, the latest treatment options, and access to world class specialized care.
