Novant Health To Acquire UCI Medical Affiliates From BCBS Of South Carolina

Novant Health plans to acquire UCI Medical Affiliates, an urgent care group practice, from Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) of South Carolina. The deal was announced in July 19, 2024. It is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition includes UCI Medical Affiliates and its affiliates Doctors Care and Progressive Physical Therapy. Doctors Care is an urgent care network that employs 200 clinical professionals that provide urgent care, family care, occupational medicine, and employee wellness.
