Novo Nordisk Launches U.S. Sales Of Pill Form Of Wegovy GLP-1 Medication For Weight Loss

Novo Nordisk's Wegovy pill, an oral GLP-1 for weight loss in adults, is now broadly available across the United States, through 70,000+ pharmacies and select telehealth providers, the company announced.

The Wegovy pill was approved by the Food and Drug Administration on December 22, 2025. It is intended to be used with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for adults with obesity, or with overweight who also have weight-related medical problems.
