Office Of The National Coordinator For Health Information Technology Appoints New Chief Medical Officer

Effective February 23, Dr. Thomas Mason will be the Chief Medical Officer of the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology. His duties will include the clinical oversight of ONC programs as well as clinical coordination within ONC. He will also engage with physician organizations on a regular basis. Dr. Mason is a board certified internist with an emphasis on primary care and preventative medicine with 14 years of experience and has led the implementation of numerous EHR systems.
