Ohio Awards Medicaid Managed Care Contract To Centene/Buckeye Health Plan

The Ohio Department of Medicaid awarded a managed care contract to Centene/Buckeye Health Plan, making it the seventh managed care contract awarded by the state for the next contract period which begins January 4, 2022. On April 9, 2021, the state had awarded contracts to AmeriHealth Caritas, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, CareSource, Humana, Molina and UnitedHealthcare. An award to Buckeye had been deferred by the state pending additional consideration.
