Oklahoma Hospital Could Lose Medicare Funding
The Medicare provider agreement for Guymon, Oklahoma-based Memorial Hospital of Texas County (Memorial) is in danger of losing its Medicare funding. The hospital’s Medicare provider agreement is currently slated to be terminated, on April 18th, if the hospital does not fix certain deficiencies.
Specifically, the Oklahoma State Department of Health determined that Memorial has not been in compliance with Medicare and Medicaid rules—a conclusion the department came to after reviewing reports from hospital surveys that were conducted in October 2018.
