Ontrak, Inc. acquired LifeDojo Inc, which provides a comprehensive behavior change platform. Ontrak provides a technology-enabled platform to provide chronic condition management and telehealth services to health plan members with behavioral health conditions that cause or exacerbate chronic medical conditions. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. LifeDojo’s co-founders, Chief Executive Officer Chris Cutter and Chief Technology Officer Patricia Bedard, have joined the Ontrak leadership team. Ontrak anticipates that the acquisition will broaden its market reach to include people with less acute health conditions and enable new interventions, as well as remote consumer monitoring.
The LifeDojo platform provides 32 behavior change modules. It provides a digital app to support consumer engagement with behavior change to reach health improvement goals. LifeDojo’s member-facing apps enable remote consumer monitoring capabilities. The platform is used by Fortune 500 companies and high-tech, high-growth organizations for employees in more than 16 countries.
Ontrak (formerly branded as Catasys, Inc.) uses artificial intelligence (AI) and predictive analytics to power its Predict-Recommend-Engage (PRE) platform that predicts people whose chronic disease is likely to improve with behavior change. It currently focuses on high cost chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, and congestive heart failure. Ontrak solutions are available to members of leading national and regional health plans in 30 states and in Washington, D.C.
The Ontrak platform recommends effective care pathways that people are willing to follow, and engages people who are not getting the care they need. The solution combines predictive analytics with human engagement in psychosocial and medical interventions provided in person or via telehealth along with care coaching and in-market Community Care Coordinators who address the social and environmental determinants of health, including loneliness. Ontrak anticipates that the LifeDojo member-facing apps that currently log member-reported data will feed Ontrak AI capabilities and further personalize Ontrak’s evidence-based coaching.
