Optum Virtual Care Telehealth Service Is Live Nationwide

Optum’s new telehealth service, Optum Virtual Care has been deployed in all 50 states. Optum Virtual Care offers virtual health services, and the software allows the remote physician to connect consumers to in-person services for diagnosis and treatment of more complex physical and behavioral health conditions.

In an April 15, 2021, first quarter earnings call, Wyatt Decker, chief executive officer for OptumHealth, said during the pandemic the company “stood up over 17,000 clinical professionals” on telehealth solutions during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency.
