Oregon Adopts Legislation On ‘Physician Associate’ Title
Oregon Governor Tina Kotek signed a new law, changing the "physician assistant" title in the state to "physician associate." Oregon is the first state to make such a change. After the law goes into effect on June 6, 2024, the Oregon Medical Board will establish regulations and guidance for when currently licensed physician assistants can begin using the new title.
