Oregon’s Opioid Settlement Board Approves $13.7 Million To Boost State Prevention Workforce
The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) reported that the state’s Opioid Settlement Prevention, Treatment & Recovery Board approved a proposal to direct $13.7 million toward increasing and strengthening the state’s substance use prevention workforce. The proposal was put forward by the state's Alcohol and Drug Policy Commission (ADPC). ;
The funds are part of almost $600 million set to be distributed over the next 18 years from Oregon's settlements of national lawsuits against several companies for their roles in the opioid crisis.
