Orlando Health Completes $910 Million Purchase Of 5 Tenet Healthcare Hospitals 

Orlando Health acquired majority ownership stakes in five Birmingham, Alabama-area hospitals from Tenet Healthcare. Orlando paid $910 million to acquire Tenet’s 70% stake in Brookwood Baptist Health. ;The acquisition closed on October 1, 2024.

Brookwood Baptist Health is a joint venture with Baptist Health System. Baptist Health System remains a partner in the venture after Orlando Health’s purchase.;

The deal includes Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, Citizens Baptist Medical Center, Princeton Baptist Medical Center, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, and Walker Baptist Medical Center. It also includes facilities and operations related to these locations.
