Palm Beach County, Florida Commissioners Approve Funds For New Behavioral Health Crisis Facility
The Palm Beach County commissioners approved funding for the county Health Care District (district) to build a $60 million mental health and substance use crisis center. The county commissioners agreed to fund up to $10 million to cover land acquisition, design services, and construction services for a behavioral health Central Receiving Facility. The center will be primarily funded, built and operated by the district. The county’s funding is through COVID-relief funds.
