Parkinson’s Care Across New York State Extended Via Telemedicine Program

Neurologists at University of Rochester Medicine have launched a telemedicine program as an effort to expand Parkinson’s Disease Care across New York state. The program will serve as a national model for Parkinson's and chronic disease management throughout the nation. This largely virtual network provides free care to as many as 500 underserved patients across New York, part of a growing movement to extend specialized neurological care to underserved populations across the United States.

The program is supported with grants from the Greater Rochester Health Foundation and the Edmond J. Safra Foundation, and makes use of iPhone technology . . .
