Peach State Health Plan & Centene Foundation Commit $2.2 Million To Georgia Southern University For Rural Health Workforce Development
Georgia-based Centene subsidiary Peach State Health Plan (PSHP) and the Centene Foundation are set to invest $2.2 million toward the expansion of a workforce development program designed to support rural health care at Georgia Southern University. The funds will enhance the school’s existing programs focused on areas including nursing, physicians’ assistants, and addiction recovery.
Under the new partnership, PSHP will work with the school’s Institute for Health Logistics & Analytics to support data-driven, targeted programs to address critical shortages and improve the health and well-being of communities in need.
