Penn State Acquires Large Independent Medical Group In Lancaster County

Penn State Health completed its acquisition of Physicians’ Alliance LTD (PAL). Prior to the purchase, PAL was the largest independent medical group in Lancaster County.

Joining Penn State Health via the acquisition will be PAL’s nearly 100 physicians, registered dietitians, and advanced practice clinicians. Penn State Health officials have stated that consumers formerly served under PAL will still have access to the same physicians and quality of care, but simply now have improved access to additional services, such as cancer care and specialty pediatrics.
