Philips Names International Business Machines Corporation Executive Sophie Bechu As Chief Of Operations

International Business Machines Corporation has appointed executive Sophie Bechu as the company's new chief of operations and executive vice president with immediate effect. Ms. Bechu will also join its executive committee, succeeding Pasquale Abruzzese, who left Philips in May for personal reasons. Most recently, Ms. Bechu was a vice president at IBM, responsible for the information technology services delivery for clients in North America.
