Pikes Peak State College Becomes Colorado’s Only College Offering Concurrent Enrollment For Students With I/lDD
Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) has received a grant from Disabling Barriers to support its Achieving Success through Personalized Inclusive Real-world Education (ASPIRE) Scholars Program through November 2026. PPSC is currently the only college in Colorado authorized to offer concurrent enrollment to high school students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
The ASPIRE Scholars Program provides an inclusive college pathway for students ages 18–21 with I/DD. Participants can enroll in college courses while still in high school, earning credit and taking part in campus life alongside other students.
