University Of Pittsburgh Medical Center Expands Into New York

University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) has taken its first step out of Pennsylvania by integrating Woman's Christian Association (WCA) Hospital in Jamestown, NY, assuming the hospital's debt and pension obligations. UPMC has committed to invest at least $25 million in this new partner over the next 10 years.

The two organizations first signed a strategic alliance to broaden the scope of services and programs in Jamestown in 2012, expanding service and care to the Jamestown community.
