Providence Health Plan In The Pacific Northwest To Wind Down Insurance Business
Providence Health Plan (PHP), which provides insurance plans in Oregon and Washington State, will exit most of its health insurance lines of business beginning in 2027, including its Individual and Family and Employer Group/Commercial plans. For its Medicare Advantage plans, Providence is working toward a potential agreement with another carrier that would allow current members to keep their coverage in 2027. For its Medicaid plans, Providence is evaluating options to transfer management of its Medicaid program to another organization. A decision is expected later in 2026.
For current Providence members, nothing will change during 2026, according to the announcement . . .
