Quest Diagnostics Adds P-Tau217 Blood Biomarker Testing For Alzheimer’s Disease Diagnosis

Quest;Diagnostics is now offering a;blood biomarker test for phosphorylated tau 217 (p-tau217). Research has shown;P-tau217, a biomarker associated with Alzheimer's disease (AD), is useful for an early diagnosis of AD.;

The p-tau217 test joins Quest’s AD-Detect portfolio of blood tests for assessing the risk of AD. The portfolio also includes tests for biomarkers, including p-tau181 and amyloid beta (AB) protein, as well as apolipoprotein E isoform and plasma testing for consumers with cognitive impairment. Consumers need a physician order to obtain this testing.
