Research Teams In The United Kingdom Launched A Nationwide Trial Of Blood Tests For Dementia
Research teams at Dementias Platform UK, based at the Department of Psychiatry at both the University of Oxford and University College London, have launched a nationwide trial of blood tests for dementia. The goal is for these tests to be used in the United Kingdom's (UK's) National Health system within the next five years.
Both teams will recruit participants from sites spread across the country, to ensure their findings are applicable to the whole of the UK’s diverse population. One team will test multiple existing and novel blood tests, looking at a range of types of dementia . . .
