SAMHSA Awards $166 Million For HIV Prevention & Treatment

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is awarding a total of $166 million in grants for HIV prevention and treatment. The funds will be awarded over a five year period.

The funds will be distributed through SAMHSA’s Targeted Capacity Expansion-HIV (TCE-HIV) program, which provides care for HIV-positive and high-risk populations that suffer from addiction disorder and/or mental disorders. SAMHSA anticipates splitting up the funds over 79 grants of $200,000 and $500,000 each of the five years.
