SAMHSA Grants $4.9 Million To Reduce Suicides On College & University Campuses

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) has awarded $4.9 million to 17 colleges and universities in an effort to reduceĀ campus suicide rates. The funds will be distributed through SAMHSA'sĀ Garrett Lee Smith Suicide Prevention Program.

The funds will allow the recipient colleges and universities to offer programs to high-risk students that will promote suicide prevention and substance abuse prevention.
