Sanford Acquires Upper Mississippi Mental Health Center

Effective October 2 of this year, Sanford Health (Sanford) will acquire the Upper Mississippi Mental Health Center (UMMHC). The center’s current employees will remain employed under Sanford, and operations of the center are not expected to be disturbed in any way.

According to statements, UMMHC anticipates that the acquisition will allow it to further mental health services in the community by attracting more mental health professionals. UMMHC also expects that working under Sanford will allow consumers to more feasibly combine their mental and physical health treatments.
