Scripps Health and Acadia Healthcare Inc. Partner To Launch New Inpatient Behavioral Health Facility

Scripps Health will develop a new inpatient behavioral health facility in partnership with Acadia Healthcare Company, Inc. located in Chula Vista, California. The new 120-bed facility, Eastlake Behavioral Health Hospital, will eventually replace Scripps Mercy Hospital. The new center is expected to be complete and ready to receive patients in 2023. Until then, Scripps will continue to operate its current inpatient behavioral health unity, while also reinvesting more than $1 million in safety upgrades for the remaining years it is in service.
