Sidekick Health Acquires Aidhere, Expands Portfolio To Offer Regulated Prescription Digital Therapeutics 

Digital health platform provider Sidekick Health acquired Germany-based aidhere, which develops prescription digital therapeutics (PDTs). The the acquisition marks Sidekick Health’s expansion into the direct prescribing space.;

The aidhere acquisition includes Zanadio, a smartphone application developed to provide digital and multimodal treatment for consumers diagnosed with obesity. In Germany, Zanadio has been prescribed more than 50,000 times by more than 10,000 doctors. It is reimbursed by all of Germany’s statutory health insurers and is associated with long-term behavioral change and significant weight loss of 8% among users at the end of 12 months . . .
