State-Of-The-Art Behavioral Health Facility Proposed For MLK Hospital
The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital will open a new facility to help its consumers that have mental health needs. The center will be converted from a 500,000-square foot building currently not being used for any operations, and will offer both inpatient and outpatient services.
In addition to inpatient and outpatient mental health services, the new facility will also offer urgent care, an autism center, and pediatric behavioral health services. According to statements from the Los Angeles County Supervisor, the county’s Department of Health Services has $250 million to spend on building the project.
