Sutter Health Teams Join With Aetna To Create New California Health Plan

Sutter & Hartford (Sutter Health) and Aetna are launching a jointly owned health plan for Northern California. The plan will offer self-insured commercial products starting in mid-2018 in the greater Sacramento area, Central Valley and Bay Area. Fully insured preferred provider organization products may follow in 2019, pending regulatory approval.

Sutter Health is a not-for-profit health system headquartered in Sacramento, California. It includes doctors, hospitals and other health care services in more than 100 Northern California cities and towns.
