Teladoc Health Launches AI-Enabled Capabilities To Enhance Its Virtual Sitter Solution For Inpatient Fall Prevention

Teladoc Health, which provides a virtual care platform, launched new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to enhance its Virtual Sitter solution for preventing falls and improving inpatient consumer safety. The enhancements enable a single remote staff member to monitor up to 25% more people, helping to increase the capacity of health care inpatient teams.

The expanded solution uses advanced, pre-trained algorithms, motion detection, and pose estimation to visually detect movement that could lead to falls, and alert the monitors who alert bedside staff to intervene.
