The GEO Group Signs ICE Contract For Company-Owned 1,320-Bed Rivers Facility In North Carolina
The GEO Group, Inc. signed a five-year support services contract with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to activate a federal immigration processing center at the company's 1,320-bed Rivers Facility in Winton, North Carolina. The contract is expected to generate approximately $80 million in annual revenue during the first full year of operations.
Under the agreement, ICE will have exclusive use of the facility, and GEO will provide security, maintenance, food services, recreational amenities, medical care, and legal counsel access.
