The United Methodist Children’s Home Has Hired John Shadowens As Its New President & CEO
John Shadowens was officially brought on board November 1, 2015. He previously worked at Centerstone of Illinois, a social service agency in the West Frankfort area. In addition, Shadowens was the program director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Illinois from 1995 to 2000. The agency had a satellite office on the former St. Mary's Good Samaritan campus. Shadowens is also the author of “Legacy Lost,” a book “chronicling the changes in culture, technology and lifestyle that have led to a substantial erosion of the family and crucial support systems for children and families,” the release states . . .
