Three Maine Non-Profit I/DD & Behavioral Health Organizations To Merge
Three non-profit organizations in Maine that serve people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and behavioral health needs signed a letter of intent to merge. The organizations are GMS, Uplift, and Independence Advocates of Maine. They seek to complete the merger by July 1, 2025.
After the merger closes, the emerging organization will adopt a new unified name, mission, and vision. It will adopt a unified corporate structure with shared governance and leadership.
