Trump Administration Rejects ACA Special Enrollment Period Amid COVID-19
The Trump administration announced it will not open enrollment under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) amid coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) despite calls for a new sign-up period from congressional Democrats and the insurance industry. President Trump and other White House officials had said they were considering a relaunch of HealthCare.gov; however, the administration had decided against a special enrollment period.
