Two Ohio Hospitals Set To Close, Reducing Psychiatric Beds
Two hospitals in Warren, Ohio, are set to close in September. Both were part of Steward Health Care, which filed for bankruptcy in the spring;and has been working to sell or close its 31 hospitals.;
Trumbull Regional Medical Center has 280 beds, including 35 beds in its psychiatric unit – 19 for adults and 16 for geriatric individuals. Following the closure announcement, the hospital has begun screening those in the facility for transfer to Warren’s St. Joseph Hospital. St. Joseph Hospital does not have a psychiatric ward.
