U.S. Department Of Veterans Affairs Expands In-Home Virtual Reality Mental Health Program
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) distributed more than 700 in-home virtual reality (VR) mental wellness kits to veterans nationwide as part of an initiative led by VA clinical teams in collaboration with Healium, SoldierPoint, and VA Immersive.
The kits are designed to provide non-pharmacological tools for managing stress in home settings. The program incorporates immersive VR experiences with biofeedback and neurofeedback to support stress self-regulation.
Each kit includes access to “Honor Everywhere,” a virtual tour program that enables veterans to visit memorials and historical sites remotely. Available experiences include guided tours of the World . . .
