UNC School Of Medicine Launches Mobile Clinic To Treat Opioid Addiction In Robeson County
The University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine launched a mobile clinic in Robeson County to provide treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD). The clinic is called ATLAS (Addiction Treatment: Linking Access & Services). In weekly visits to Robeson County, it provides medication-assisted treatment and support services. Consumers served by the clinic are treated by board-certified physicians, and they collaborate with peer support specialists and social workers.
