United We Care and Mason County, Washington, announced the launch of a digital mental health pilot for county residents that blends access to an artificial intelligence (AI) wellness agent and companion with in-person therapy for mental health and substance use support. Through this pilot, residents have 24/7 confidential access, according to the announcement. Early results are promising: 50% of users booked a session with a licensed mental health provider, 72.5% completed clinically validated mental health assessments, and 93% engaged with United We Care's AI-powered mental health companion, the announcement stated.
