UnitedHealth’s Optum To Acquire A Stake In The Polyclinic

UnitedHealth’s Optum recently announced it is acquiring multispecialty clinical professional group The Polyclinic. Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed at this time.

Seattle, Washington-based The Polyclinic is one of the largest multi-specialty clinics in the Puget Sound area, with 14 locations and 200 primary care and specialty clinical professionals in most areas of medicine. With the transaction, The Polyclinic will be absorbed into OptumCare, under which its structure will remain largely the same, according to statements from an Optum spokesperson.
