University Of Alabama Birmingham Health System Closes $450 Million Acquisition Of Ascension St. Vincent Health System

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Health System Authority completed its $450 million acquisition of Ascension St. Vincent’s Health System in central Alabama. The deal includes five hospitals located at Birmingham, Blount, Chilton, East, and St. Clair. It also includes the Trussville Freestanding Emergency Department, and imaging centers and other clinics that are part of Ascension Medical Group.
