University Of Cape Town Pilots Alcohol, Smoking & Substance Involvement Tool Web App
To support students in need, the University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa, in partnership with the Department of Social Development, is piloting a web app – the Alcohol, Smoking and Substance Involvement Tool (ASSIST) to identify addiction risk among UCT students. ASSIST creates a risk score based on responses to questions about substance used and frequency, and about the impact on functioning, relationships, and ability to work.
