University Of Connecticut Awarded $10 Million To Launch A National Early Childhood Intervention Personnel Development Equity Center

The University of Connecticut School of Medicine is launching a new Early Childhood Intervention Personnel Development Equity Center. Funding for the center is through a federal grant of $10 million from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education. The new center will provide technical assistance nationwide, working with state systems of early childhood intervention, and institutions of higher education (IHE) who prepare the workforce to provide these services. The goal is to increase equity in the delivery of early childhood intervention services to infants and young children from diverse backgrounds who have disabilities or developmental delays . . .
