USDA Awards Nearly $20 Million For Projects To Support Child Nutrition Through Local Foods

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) awarded nearly $20 million in grants for projects to support child nutrition. The grants are for the second cohort of fiscal year (FY) 2026 Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grants. USDA awarded funding for 68 projects that will help farmers, producers, ranchers, and fishers supply local foods to school meals, summer meals, and child care programs.
