UVA Health Acquires Full Ownership Of Three-Hospital Joint Venture From Novant Health

UVA Health became the full owner of Novant Health UVA Health System, a Northern Virginia regional health system previously owned by the two institutions through a joint operating company. UVA Health has more than 1,000 inpatient beds. The acquisition includes all the facilities and assets of Culpeper Medical Center, Haymarket Medical Center, and Prince William Medical Center, which together provide an integrated network of outpatient services.

The joint venture started in 2016. UVA Health previously held a 40% stake, and Novant Health held 60%.
