VA Partners With Walgreens For Improved Care Coordination
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) recently announced it is partnering with Walgreens to improve consumer care coordination and pharmaceutical care for VA-enrolled consumers.
With the partnership, VA clinics will have access with one click to view the prescription and immunization history of VA-enrolled consumers. Additionally, VA clinics will now be able to view medications that are prescribed to their enrollees and filled at Walgreens pharmacies. The new efforts build upon an ongoing collaboration between the two organizations, who have been working together to provide free flu shots for enrolled veterans.
