Valley Behavioral Health Shortens Waiting List, Adds 78 Beds At Rehabilitation Facility
Valley Behavioral Health (VBH) recently announced that it will be expanding in order to admit more consumers battling addiction disorder, mental illness, and homelessness. The funding comes from the Targeted Adult Medicaid Waiver.
VBH currently serves around 140 consumers in the Salt Lake region with the two programs it runs there. With the new waiver funding, it expects to add 78 more beds and three more buildings to those numbers. The need for the additional beds is great, as jail beds in the area are often full, and as the average length of stay at VBH is near six months . . .
