Verily Life Sciences Loses Mental Health Project’s Top Scientist

Dr. Thomas Insel, lead scientist on a Verily Life Sciences mental health project, has left the project and the company. Dr. Insel was looking for new approaches to help those with anxiety, depression, and other mental disorders. A reason for his departure was not given, however the project will continue in his absence.

Verily Life Sciences is a Google offshoot and leader in tool development based on health care data. The nature of their mental health project is unknown.
