The new Walmart Insurance Services, LLC, is selling Medicare Advantage plans offered by Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Amerigroup, Simply Health, Wellcare (Centene), Clover Health, and Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield. More carriers may be added in the future. Walmart’s new insurance services are licensed in all 50 states, plus Washington D.C.
Walmart Insurance Services, LLC, is a licensed insurance brokerage; it is a subsidiary of Walmart, Inc. It will offer Part D, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans, and will help Medicare beneficiaries choose and enroll in a plan for the 2021 plan year. Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period opens on October 15, 2020, and closes on December 7, 2020. The plan year begins January 1, 2020.
