Washington State-Based Genoa Healthcare, Nation’s 5th Largest Pharmacy Chain, Opens 400th Pharmacy

Washington-based Genoa Healthcare (Genoa) recently announced the opening of its 400th pharmacy. The pharmacy will be located in the Tacoma-based behavioral health agency, Comprehensive Life Resources. Comprehensive Life Resources is a private, not-for-profit organization licensed through the state of Washington Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery.

While the company is focused on the state of Washington, Genoa currently serves consumers throughout 45 states, filling 16 million prescriptions in the last year. The company’s medical adherence rates were found to be about 40% higher than traditional retail pharmacies, according to one study.
